This procedure can have fantastic success without the need for surgery. These kind of procedures often help relieve leg pain and discomfort.
Another procedure, in addition to spider vein removal, is ambulatory phlebectomy (see figure), wherein the actual varicose vein is removed using local anesthesia, a tiny vein removal device is used along with incisions so small, than many times they require no sutures. We have a great success rate with the removal of varicose veins. Many times with this minimally invasive surgery the patient can leave the clinic and return immediately to normal activity.

The Treatment of Venous Stasis Ulcers

One of the most remarkable and beneficial effects of endoluminal closure or ablation of the greater saphenous vein is the treatment of long-standing venous stasis ulcers (see figure), which can also cause leg pain. The reduction of venous pressure in the leg allows arterial oxygenated blood to reach the ulcer bed, which results in rapid healing. This in office surgery has great success in allowing people to return to a normal, healthy and active life style.
